We’re just a few weeks away from CEDIA Expo singing its swan song in the Mile High City, but that hasn’t slowed the CEDIA the association from looking ahead to the next big event on the custom integration industry’s calendar. CEDIA, this week, opened its call for education session proposals for Integrated Systems Europe 2027, inviting residential technology professionals to help shape the learning program for one of the industry’s most important global events.
ISE 2027 will take place February 2-5, 2027, with proposals due by Monday, September 7, 2026. Selected sessions will be considered for the CEDIA Smart Home Technology Conference, with additional speaking opportunities available on the Smart Home Technology Stage in Hall 2 for 40- to 45-minute presentations.
CEDIA is seeking brand-agnostic content that gives residential technology professionals practical ideas they can take back into the field, from technical implementation to business strategy. Priority topics include successful AI deployments and practical implementation, hands-on technical workshops, live demonstrations, profitability and operations, EU-specific regulations and compliance, robotics, emerging technologies, energy and power management, and lighting design, integration, and troubleshooting.
Manufacturers and exhibitors with thought leadership topics are also encouraged to apply, although CEDIA notes that integrator-led submissions may be prioritized. The strongest education at trade events often comes from professionals who are actively solving problems in homes, managing teams, navigating client expectations, and learning where new technologies truly fit into the design/build process.
Though it may seem like a minor detail, it’s often intriguing (and telling) to see which session topics are being asked for, because it reflects where the association sees the residential technology channel heading. AI, energy management, lighting, and robotics are no longer fringe conversations; they are becoming part of how integrators talk about comfort, efficiency, wellness, safety, and long-term value in connected homes. At the same time, business operations and regulatory topics remain critical as firms look for sustainable ways to grow across changing markets.
