Savant has been selected by U.S. Development as the exclusive smart home technology partner for two Florida luxury residential projects: Salato Pompano Beach and Viceroy Residences Clearwater Beach. The partnership places Savant’s integrated smart living platform directly into the resident experience at both coastal properties, connecting lighting, shading, entertainment, climate, access, and whole-home control through a unified ecosystem.
The announcement signifies the continued importance given to smart home technology as a key requirement of luxury residential establishments by higher-end builders. It’s no longer being treated as an optional upgrade layered in after design decisions are made. Instead, it is becoming part of the residential offering itself, as buyers expect comfort, convenience, and personalization to feel built in from day one.

At the center of the system is Savant’s keypad host, an in-wall controller designed to function as both a light switch and smart home hub. According to the announcement, the device can support lighting and shade control, Savant Music, A/V zones, and integrations spanning security, cameras, locks, climate, and energy. The platform also provides access to Savant’s conversational AI home assistant, which lets residents control and personalize their homes using natural language.
Each residence at Salato and Viceroy will be offered a standard tech package that includes Savant in-wall OLED touchscreens, Savant Music with Harman/JBL in-ceiling speakers, GE Proseo motorized shades and intelligent lighting control, smart door lock control, Wi-Fi access points, a network switch, two 55-inch televisions, and Savant remotes. The Savant app will also integrate with each unit’s Daikin FIT smart HVAC system, giving homeowners control over comfort settings, schedules, and energy use whether they are home or away.
U.S. Development is positioning these residences around a luxury lifestyle, but the technology package is being framed less as gadgetry and more as infrastructure for daily living. Lighting, shading, entertainment, climate, and access control all affect how a home feels, not just how it performs. When those systems are planned as part of the residential experience, integrators, designers, architects, and developers have a better opportunity to preserve the design intent while delivering the level of convenience buyers now expect.

Salato Pompano Beach is a 40-residence oceanfront condominium. The building is now open, with model residences by Interiors by Steven G. and architecture by Randall Stofft Architects. Units range from just over 2,100 square feet to around 3,350 square feet, with pricing listed from $2 million to $5.25 million for the remaining residences.
Viceroy Residences Clearwater Beach includes 86 contemporary residences and more than 25,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities. The project also involved Randall Stofft Architects and Interiors by Steven G., and is being positioned as Tampa Bay’s first new luxury beachfront offering in more than 20 years.
For Savant and U.S. Development, the partnership showcases how technology can and should appear in luxury residential design. Tech can provide smart capabilities, but it doesn’t need to dominate the experience. Design and tech can coexist in a way that allows the tech to almost disappear into the experience and remove friction.
