The planned generational transition at AVPro Global Holdings LLC is formally underway. In a statement published this week, the company announced that company founder Jeff Murray will move into the role of Chairman of the Board. That move will allow Jeff’s son Matt to become the new CEO of AVPro Global. Matt, who alongside his father built AVPro up into what it is today, most recently served as the company’s Chief Technology Officer.
Recognized among the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing companies, AVPro Global is the parent company of some of the biggest names and brands in the custom integration channel, including AVPro Edge, AudioControl Pro, Bullet Train, RTI, ProControl, ThenAudio, and Murideo.
“Watching Matt step into the CEO role is incredibly rewarding for me both as a founder and as a father, because he helped build AVPro from day one and deeply understands what makes this company special,” Jeff Murray said in the statement.
The title swaps at the top, while significant, will position the company for future growth an innovation. Matt assumes control of the day-to-day and long-term operations, while Jeff will remain “deeply engaged” in the strategy, governance, and mentoring for the company.
Suffice it to say, Sunday dinners at the Murray house will continue to feature plenty of “shop talk.”
“This transition respects the heritage we’ve created and positions AVPro to explore new dimensions of innovation, opportunity, and customer satisfaction in the years ahead,” Matt Murray added in the statement.
