New CEDIA Board Highlighted by Amanda Wildman as First-Ever Female Chair

CEDIA, the Association for Smart Home Professionals, announced new additions to its Global Board of Directors for the 2026-2028 term this week. The appointments were led by new Chairperson Amanda Wildman, an integrator and President and Owner of TruMedia Home. Wildman becomes the first-ever female to serve in the role.

“I am honored to be voted in as Chairperson of the CEDIA Board of Directors and am deeply grateful to our members, volunteers, and mentors who make this organization what it is,” Wildman said in a statement announcing her appointment. “After more than a decade of volunteering and working hands-on in the field, I look forward to carrying the knowledge and experience shared by this community with me as we chart CEDIA’s course together over the next two years.”

Alongside her will be Edward Gilmore who will serve as Vice Chairperson, Stuart Tickle as Treasurer, and James Chen as Secretary. Wildman succeeds Josh.ai’s Alex Capecelatro who will transition to the role of Immediate Past Chairperson while remaining on the Board’s executive committee.

For Wildman, her election comes after a rather active year supporting both CEDIA and the broader CI channel. A fixture at industry events, her impact was felt in a major way this year at CEDIA Expo. The association tapped Wildman for her expertise, and asked her to oversee the curation of a completely revamped education program.

“CEDIA’s Board represents the best in the industry, and it is a privilege to work with them each day to guide our global trade association,” CEDIA Global President and CEO Daryl Friedman added in the statement. “From my first day as CEO, Amanda helped me understand this industry from the integrator’s point of view, even having me serve as an ‘apprentice for a day’ with her team. Her years of commitment to CEDIA as a volunteer, educator, and Board member will serve her well in this important leadership role.”

Other additions to the CEDIA Board include integrators Rich Green of Rich Green Design, Jennifer Mallett of Level Up Automation, and James Ratcliffe of Homeplay Ltd., who join as Board Directors, and Board-appointed members Kris Hogg of Samsung and Maryellen Oswald of Somfy.
