At luxury hospitality destinations, technology is expected to disappear into the background—enhancing the guest experience without drawing attention to itself. That’s exactly the challenge Casa de Campo Resort and Villas faced at its exclusive Minitas Beach Club in the Dominican Republic, where sweeping ocean views, private cabanas, and a 23-meter infinity pool define the atmosphere.
To preserve that sense of effortless luxury while improving the club’s audio performance, the resort recently upgraded to an L-Acoustics X Series professional sound system. Designed and installed by Dominican-based systems integrator Sound Video Light (SVL) in partnership with Miami distributor Wholestage, the new system delivers premium sound fidelity while carefully controlling volume levels and minimizing noise bleed between the club’s many social zones.
This project highlights a familiar challenge: How to integrate high-performance technology into premium lifestyle spaces without compromising aesthetics, comfort, or privacy.
“Casa de Campo holds itself to a high standard, and management is constantly looking to elevate the guest experience,” says Pedro Abreu, Operations and Project Manager at SVL. “The entire Casa de Campo complex is a relaxing, peaceful environment, and it was essential that no zone interfere with neighboring residences or adjacent spaces.”

That balance between performance and subtlety drove every aspect of the design. Beachfront environments introduce unique obstacles, including humidity, salt exposure, and constant wind—all of which impact speaker durability and sound consistency. In the private cabana areas, the goal was even more nuanced: delivering immersive sound for each guest without disrupting neighboring spaces.
Each cabana features independent wall-mounted volume control and Bluetooth connectivity for personal music playback, allowing guests to customize their own experience while built-in processor limits prevent “noise wars” between adjacent cabanas. It’s a thoughtful example of how personalization and control can coexist with hospitality-wide design standards.
The system itself includes eight L-Acoustics X8i, five X6i, and eight X4i coax loudspeakers, along with two SB10i subwoofers powered by LA2Xi amplified controllers. The speakers were selected not only for performance, but also for their discreet form factor and ability to blend into the club’s architecture and color palette.

This emphasis on invisible integration is increasingly relevant across luxury residential and hospitality design. Clients want exceptional experiences—whether that means immersive entertainment, personalized comfort, or seamless control—but they rarely want to see the technology delivering it. Using L-Acoustics’ Soundvision 3D modeling software, SVL was able to accurately predict system performance before installation, ensuring precise coverage across the property’s eight distinct audio zones, including the pool, bar, VIP Sun Club, private cabanas, and even the bathrooms. The system also integrates into Casa de Campo’s larger 20-plus-zone distributed audio network via AES67, creating a scalable solution for the broader resort.
The result is an environment where guests simply notice that everything feels right. Audio quality is clearer, coverage is more consistent, and the venue can now host live DJs without requiring rental PA systems.
For integrators, designers, and builders working in high-end residential and hospitality spaces, Minitas Beach Club offers a strong reminder: The best technology isn’t always the most visible. It’s the technology that quietly supports the lifestyle experience. When sound, design, and architecture work together seamlessly, the result is true luxury.
