CEDIA, the Association for Smart Home Professionals, has put out the call for nominations for the 2026 Lifetime Achievement Award program, one of the highest honors that an individual can receive within the global smart home technology industry. First bestowed in 1992, the award is intended to honor individuals who’ve made an extraordinary and lasting impact on the channel, reflecting that person’s years of dedication, leadership, and influence.
“As our industry continues to grow, it’s vital that we shine a light on the people who have left a legacy in the smart home profession,” Daryl Friedman, CEDIA’s global president and CEO, said in a statement. “This award recognizes careers defined by innovation and leadership that has truly shaped the industry.”
The nomination period will remain open until May 24th. The CEDIA Board of Directors will review all entries and ultimately determine this year’s recipient, who’ll be recognized alongside fellow CEDIA Smart Home Award winners in the Americas, Asia Pacific, and EMEA regions.
