Origin Acoustics is heading to CEDIA Expo 2026 with more than a new product story. The architectural audio manufacturer is using the show to signal a larger next chapter, one shaped by new executive leadership, expanded category ambitions, and a sharpened focus on how premium audio fits into luxury residential, commercial, outdoor, hospitality, and other environments..
At the center of that push is a leadership buildout intended to support Origin’s next phase of growth. The company has added David Moore as President of New Ventures and Danielle Karr as EVP of Marketing, pairing product and channel experience with a broader brand and go-to-market strategy.
Moore brings over 25 years of experience across consumer electronics, smart home technology, engineering, and the CEDIA channel. He previously held senior leadership roles at Snap One, where he led Global Engineering and helped shape connected-platform and product innovation across the company’s portfolio. His background also includes early work on what became WattBox, the remote power management platform widely used in the custom integration channel.
At Origin, Moore will lead New Ventures as the company explores new categories, technologies, and applications for its expertise in audio, design, and integration.
“Some of the best ideas in this industry have always come from understanding the real problems integrators are trying to solve,” Moore said in a statement. “That’s what excites me about what we’re building here.”
Karr joins Origin following stops at Vivint, Control4, Snap, and Nice North America. During her time at Control4, she worked on the company’s Certified Showroom Program, helping expand how the brand appeared through its dealer network and to homeowners, designers, and builders.
In her new role, Karr will lead Origin’s brand and marketing strategy, with an emphasis on dealer support, channel tools, customer-facing experiences, and a clearer articulation of the company’s position in the market.
“We have an enormous amount of respect for what Origin has already built,” Karr said. “The opportunity now is to take everything that makes this company different, the engineering, the creativity, the people, and the culture, and make sure the industry understands the scale of where we’re going next.”
For Origin CEO Nick Berry, the additions reflect a broader effort to build the organization around a more ambitious view of where audio belongs.
“We’re adding exceptional people, investing in the brand, and continuing to push into places where we think audio should live,” Berry said. “CEDIA is really the first opportunity to see all of those pieces coming together.”
At CEDIA Expo 2026, attendees can experience guided demonstrations of new products. The company says the booth experience will go beyond a traditional product walkthrough, with executives and product specialists discussing the applications behind the products, the problems they were designed to solve, and the larger direction of the brand.
That direction appears to extend well beyond in-wall and in-ceiling speakers. Origin is positioning its engineering, industrial design, and integration expertise for a wider range of environments, including luxury homes, outdoor living spaces, hospitality settings, and other experience-driven categories. And, following a short teaser video released a few days ago, there could be more in store when we arrive in Denver.
“Origin has an incredible history of innovation, but there is a much bigger story here than individual products,” Berry said. “We’re designing experiences for some of the most extraordinary spaces in the world, and those spaces are evolving.”
Origin Acoustics will be at CEDIA Expo 2026 in Booth #2523. More information is available at OriginAcoustics.com.
