In the age of artificial intelligence, expectations are through the roof for things—really anything—to get done as fast as possible, as efficiently as possible, and as perfect as possible. From the clients you’re working for to the partners you’re working with, everything needs to be smooth and seamless. Crestron Electronics introduced a new tool this week aimed at helping residential dealers do just that, at least when it comes to delivering Crestron Home OS projects.

The new Configure Pro platform is intended to simplify system configuration through standardized, non-programming workflows that Crestron says will reduce setup friction, shorten training cycles, and help integrators and their teams maintain consistency across their projects. From simple single-residency projects to more complex whole-home deployment, Configure Pro will give dealers a “reliable foundation” for delivering that perfect control experience right from the outset.
“The best smart homes start with the best tools,” Michael Short, Vice President, Marketing Operations & Residential at Crestron, said in a statement. “Configure Pro was built to support the professionals who bring Crestron Home experiences to life every day. It gives dealers a faster, more intuitive, and more scalable way to deliver exceptional systems while preserving the flexibility and craftsmanship that define a true Crestron home.”
Using dealer feedback from early product development, Crestron refined the Configure Pro platform to include a variety of intuitive tools to help with the most detailed parts of the configuration process. Clear input and output labeling is designed to help simplify AV routing, while a visual keypad configurator gives a more readable layout for actions, engravings, and button behavior. In addition, a visual Sequence Editor has support for delays and conditional logic, making it easier to build, understand, and maintain powerful system behavior without the need to manipulate a single line of code.
Crestron said that Configure Pro will continue to evolve as a platform and foundation for these projects alongside the expansion of the Crestron Home OS.
“Dealer time is valuable, and every minute spent searching, correcting, or waiting on another team member is time that could be spent moving the project forward,” said Short. “Configure Pro is designed to remove those small points of friction that add up across a real installation. It helps technicians work confidently, helps teams collaborate more efficiently, and helps business owners protect quality as they scale.”
Crestron is offering dedicated Configure Pro training through its Technical Institute, which includes self-paced content as well as live educational sessions designed to help teams become productive and proficient with the platform quickly.
Configure Pro is available now for Crestron Home dealers.
