Lutron Opens Call for 2026 North American Excellence Award Entries

The annual call for entries in Lutron Electronics’ North American Excellence Awards program is officially open. Established in 2003, the program celebrates the top custom integrators for their work across a number of different categories. Lutron is accepting entries through July 17th, with the winners in this year’s program to be announced at CEDIA Expo in Denver this September.

There are seven categories in this year’s program. Here’s a quick rundown with details Lutron asks integrators to include, which gives a good look at how judges will look at each submission:

  1. Best Use of Motorized Window Treatments: Highlight the project design intent, the challenges solved during specification or installation, and any unique homeowner or architectural requirements. Describe how the motorized window treatments integrate with the home’s broader control ecosystem and the impact it delivers.
  2. Best Integrated Project using Lutron Intelligent Lighting, Controls, and Window Treatments: Submit your most compelling project that demonstrates how Lutron intelligent lighting, controls, and window treatments work together to create a seamless, elevated experience. Describe your keypad strategy, system approach, and any integration with third‑party systems. Highlight why Lutron products were the right solution for the client, the technical or design challenges you overcame, and how the final system enhances the home’s performance, aesthetics, and daily living.
  3. Best Use of Intelligent Lighting Systems: Submit a standout project featuring a Lutron intelligent lighting system. Describe why intelligent lighting was essential for this home, how the system’s capabilities enhance aesthetics and functionality, and the ways it improves the homeowner’s daily living experience.
  4. Best Renovation/Retrofit Project: Highlight a renovation or retrofit where Lutron wireless solutions played a pivotal role. Share how you met client expectations, overcame structural or wiring limitations, and kept the project timeline and design vision intact through thoughtful application of Lutron technology.
  5. Best Collaboration with an Architect, Interior Designer, or Lighting Designer: Tell us about your collaborative efforts with an architect, interior designer, or lighting designer. Explain how you aligned technology with the project’s architectural or interior vision, balanced homeowner expectations, and built a relationship that led to deeper collaboration and future opportunities.
  6. Best Overall Project from a New Lutron Dealer: For dealers who have been with Lutron for two years or less, submit the project that best represents your capabilities, craftsmanship, and commitment to delivering exceptional Lutron experiences—and tell us why it deserves recognition.
  7. Best Collaboration with a Builder or Developer: Submit a project where your partnership with a builder or developer led to an exceptional outcome. Describe how you worked together to integrate lighting, shading, or control solutions into the build process, how you aligned on design and technology goals, and how this collaboration strengthened your ongoing relationship.
